We've already fallen behind the level of demand.

I just wanted to point this out to everyone:

100% for sure, this is a large part of the reason we are seeing Ethereum gaining so much traction.
It's too bad that people aren't even allowed to talk about it in /r/Bitcoin, so the casual bitcoiner isn't even aware of the issue.

"I just wanted to point this out to everyone"
Sounds like your apologising?

It not your fault core's refusal to increase the block size, even a tiny bit, that is about to really show.
I suspect they refuse because otherwise no one would want segwit at this moment in time.
Core think (imply) an increase above this "magic" 1mb will bring the bitcoin ceiling down.

"Increasing the transactional throughout of Bitcoin"
Is that a typo? or just over my head or my will to decypher?

What matters at the end of the day is the number of transactions that people can do in a censorship resistant Bitcoin that has all the properties of good money.

It doesn't matter if that transaction throughput volume is achieved via bigger blocks, segwit, Lightning network, or something else, but the short term, easy solution to allow additional capacity is to allow for bigger blocks.

It matters how we achieve larger blocks, although for now I'd only suggest raising the blocksize limit to what Cornell University has suggested.

Hopefully some of their students will be coming around to this forum soon!

Yes it was a typo.
The problem with your own typos is that you can't even see them yourself.
I didn't realize that I had written througOUT instead of throughPUT until you clearly pointed it out to me.
When I composed the tweet I'm not sure if my iphone auto corrected it to throuOUT or not.
