A plea for help from Venezuela.

Sun May 15, 2016 6:24 pm

Today, Bitcoin.com had this contact form submitted to us:
quiero hacer una denuncia . yo vivo aqui en venezula donde hay un control de cambio o tres tipos de cambios distintos controlados por el gobierno , pese a esto las personas que venden bitcoin aqui en venezuela estan vendiendo el bitocin a precio de mercado negro , basandoce en una pagina ilegal que solo sirve para ver el precio del doral negro en venezuela , que es totalmente ilegal . solo hago de su conocimiento sobre esra situacion para que tomen medidas sobre esto muchas gracias
Google translate version:
I want to make a complaint. I live here in venezula where exchange controls or three different types of changes controlled by the government, despite this people selling bitcoin here in Venezuela are selling bitocin to black market price, basandoce in an illegal page only It serves to see the price of black chloral in Venezuela, which is totally illegal. I only your knowledge about esra situation to take action on this thank you very much

My reply:
Richard,

The black market price is the real price, and the government prices are the lies.
Bitcoin can set you, and everyone in your country free of the politician’s control.

I hope you decide to use it.

Roger Ver

Any ideas on how we can spread the message of Bitcoin to people in Venezuela?

He sent me three more replies, but my Spanish isn't very good.
I've emailed him a link to this thread if he wants to participate.

3. TE RETODO ESTA BASADO EN EL MERCADO NEGRO QUE AQUI ES ILEGAL , SI BIEN USTEDES DICEN QUE NINGUN GOBIERNO PUEDE CONTROLAR ESTO OSEA USTEDES ESTAN JUGANDO CON LA GENTE AL IGUAL QUE EL GOBIERNO VENDIENDO ESTO QUE ES IGUAL AL MERCADO NEGRO ES LO MISMO , NO HAY DIFERENCIA ALGUNA
Google Translate:
1. then to buy bitcoin if it comes out better to buy black dolar that sometimes you can buy cheaper and ntendi never this, all this confusing

2. besides have a difference with BITGOLD, BONE ALL IS CONFUSED AT LEAST HERE IN venezula NOT AS YOU DO IN OTHER COUNTRIES

3. TE RETODO IS BASED ON THE BLACK MARKET HERE IS ILLEGAL, ALTHOUGH YOU SAY THAT ANY GOVERNMENT CAN CONTROL THIS BONE YOU ARE PLAYING WITH PEOPLE JUST LIKE THE GOVERNMENT SELLING THIS THAT IS EQUAL TO BLACK MARKET IS THE SAME, THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE ANY

hahahaha maybe he thinks you are the "CEO of Bitcoin", I am Venezuelan and this is the product of 15 years of a central planning economy, some people just don't understand price formation and free market.

Funny but sad :?

Thanks for clarifying what is going on.

This seems like one more piece of evidence for why education is far too important to be left in the hands of governments.
This is especially true now that we have access to the internet and anyone can learn about absolutely anything they want, at any time, from any place, almost for free.
