CoinGate.com - Accept Bitcoin Payments. Buy/Sell bitcoin. (Official Thread)

Thu Apr 28, 2016 3:12 pm

Image Merchant Tools
CoinGate enables various businesses to accept Bitcoin payments easily and safely, using an API or plugins for various e-commerce platforms, including Magento 1 and 2, OpenCart, PrestaShop, Woocommerce. We charge only 1% from the amount transacted, and there are no monthly, registration or other fees. You can get paid in Euros, U.S. Dollars or bitcoins. If you choose to get paid in Euros or U.S. Dollars, you can receive all the benefits of Bitcoin transactions, while still receiving a fixed amount of money for your goods and services as usual.

Please note, that due to regulatory reasons, people or businesses located or registered in the United States of America can not use our services (every other country in the world is allowed, also if you are a business, then your customers can be from the US, just your business can not be registered there).

Buy or Sell bitcoins
For private individuals, CoinGate allows to buy bitcoins from CoinGate using a bank transfer, or sell bitcoins to CoinGate and get paid using a bank transfer or PayPal.

Referrals System
CoinGate also has a referrals system, where you could get up to 1% of the amount of bitcoins paid and sold by people who registered on CoinGate using your link, and they would get a discount for a trading fee. Please note, that this offer only applies to private individuals buying and selling bitcoins on CoinGate, but not to merchants.

Hi, sorry for the delayed response.

If you want to accept bitcoin payments and keep bitcoin - we do not require verification.

If you want to accept bitcoin payments and receive payouts in EUR/USD - then we require you to provide a valid ID document and business registration documents.

I hope this helps.

SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

We have implemented a feature that allows our merchants to set the expiration time for your invoices manually.

From now on, you can increase the invoice expiration time from 10 minutes (default) to a maximum of 2 hours.

If you've experienced that payments for your orders arrive late, or if you know that many of your customers use Web wallets or 3rd party services to make Bitcoin payments, then this feature is definitely for you.

Please bear in mind that this feature is only for merchants who have chosen to receive payouts in BTC. The parameters will be ignored if your "receive currency" is set to EUR or USD.

Also, by using this feature, you must realise and accept the risk involved. If your invoice time is set to, for example, 2 hours, and the Bitcoin price decreases significantly after an invoice has already been generated, we cannot accept the losses you may incur.

Kind regards to the community from our team at CoinGate.

Hi everyone!

We are happy to announce that Crisis Intervention Centre, an non-governmental organisation, is now accepting Bitcoin donations using our payment gateway! (https://krizesiveikimas.lt/)

This is already the second non-profit institution to start using our services. "Jaunimo Linija", a helpline for troubled youth, became the first organisation in Lithuania to accept Bitcoin donations. They have been with us for just over half a year now. (https://www.jaunimolinija.lt/)

See our blog post for more details!

Hi Bitcointalkers!

We hope all of you are doing well. On our part, we, CoinGate, certainly are. The start of the year has been great for us, and we are busier than ever.

We continue to work hard on developing new features that will make Bitcoin payments easier for both Businesses and Customers.

We introduced an update to our Merchant dashboard, allowing more convenient filtering of orders.

We upgraded our refund system for underpaid and overpaid orders. Customers can easily request a refund directly from the invoice.

We implemented an additional method to reduce numbers of expired invoices and partial payments made from web wallets, exchanges and 3rd party services by accepting payments that are short of a cent or less.

MoneyPolo is now offered as a Withdrawal option for Merchants, and a Buy/Sell option for Traders.

CoinGate is now available in FRENCH at https://fr.coingate.com
Also, check out our beginners' guide for a swift start with Bitcoin! We cover Bitcoin wallet types and a step-by-step installation of our favorite wallet, Electrum: https://blog.coingate.com/2017/01/bitcoin-wallet-guide/

By the way, our CTO spoke about public and private blockchains at a conference hosted by Rise Vilnius.
