Incentivized Node Schemes Are a Bad Idea for Bitcoin

Thu Jul 07, 2016 3:43 pm

BTC is an intricate system made up of the humans using the protocol, applications that surround it, miners, and nodes. Recently, there has been an argument that full nodes encompassing the network should be incentivized and adopt a two-tier system like some current altcoins.

Everything should stay as is.

We must increase the blocksize and continue to encourage people to build businesses that use Bitcoin as their payment method, or alternative payment method.

This is it really, it's simple.

No need for LN, sidechains or anything else that is risky. $10B later and 7 years in, we're good.

If anything, let's wait 50 years or let someone else introduce new technology to the market, otherwise - Bitcoin is fine following Satoshi's original vision. As an investor, this path makes me confident.

Why mess up a good thing??
