Announcing its open beta launch, the Gibraltar-based financial instruments firm will enable crypto traders to sell and buy similar Bitcoin futures contracts as those offered by regulated cash-settled exchanges such as Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) and Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), which opened trading over the last two weeks in the US.
The derivatives market opens up additional investment channels for traders who do not own actual Bitcoins in their portfolio, allowing them to buy contracts at determined prices and making shorting options available and settling contracts in fiat.
