Our Bitcoin.com team is constantly growing.
Currently we have the following positions to fill:

* Frontend developer/Designer

We are looking for a frontend developer who's primary task will be to unite the different services and webapps used under the Bitcoin.com umbrella. We run a number of services under a bunch of different subdomains that all need to follow the same style. We are also developing apps for Android and iOS.

Requirements:
- HTML5/CSS/Javascript
- Experience with creating good looking UI
- Good sense for UX and flow
- Experience with Photoshop and vector image experience
- Experience Javasscript frameworks such as AngularJS and/or React

Bonus skills:
- Experience with building cross platform apps using Cordova
- Strong with Javascript and NodeJS
- Experience creating logos

* Fullstack developer

We are looking for a full stack developer who can work both independently and in a team. We have a wide range of projects, from single-person projects to bigger projects with developers on different continents.

Requirements:
- Java EE running on Tomcat
- MySQL/MariaDB
- Linux (Debian/Ubuntu)
- HTML5/CSS/Javascript (Jquery)
- PHP

Bonus:
- Postgres
- Python
- C/C++
- NodeJS
- Wordpress



Ideal candidates would be in Tokyo or St Kitts, but we are open to remote help as well.

Any clues on what new project they will be working on or is this just a normal business expansion hiring to keep up with the workload?

Just more expansion to keep up with building what should become the most useful website in all of Bitcoin.
If I can find them, I'd actually like to hire several more people here in Tokyo.

He's out there and he's working on some crypto related project. Where and what is the question.

Would I be eligible for a job?

I'm fluent with Ubuntu (I currently use it every day and have a VPS running it, do i'm able to use the server and local version.)
I use PHP for my web development, currently working on a preev-like site.
I'm great with HTML/CSS, and know JS basics.
I know how bitcoin works and am currently learning how to interact with the bitcoind api.

I however have a basic understanding of mySQL and none using Java. Too verbose for me. I will continue to kick Java for as long as I live for this.

Would this be free work or paid? What sort of hours do you need for someone to put in? I'd love to work for such a big name as Bitcoin.com and fulfil all but one of the requirements, but time is always limited with other commitments

That's a lot to ask for a single full stack developer.

Most people are either specialized towards the back end or the front end, with some cross over.

I could do C/C++, PHP, Java, Linux, PHP, WordPress and MySQL very competently, Python, Postgres and HTML/CSS/JS somewhat, JavaEE not at all, NodeJS a little.

Bitcoin knowledge and experience: good, comparatively (with other enthusiasts).

Salary: don't care. BTC would be nice. Remote; not in a position to travel until baby is 6+ months old. Can you offer "odd jobs" for telecommute workers, like single tasks or specific things to deliver at a time?

It might be helpful to share a link on pastebin.com or similar with some technical questions, e.g. what would you do to solve this problem, write code to achieve this or that. Explain reasoning. That at least gives the candidate an idea of what exactly bitcoin.com is looking for with that position, and bitcoin.com some starting evidence the candidate may be suitable.

I wish I had fewer ties to where I'm physically located. These opportunities sound great!
