Stay away from sportsbet.io

Mon Nov 14, 2016 11:45 pm

Do not use sportsbet.io! They will claim you are using their site for mixing and steal your money!

Just some background. I am normally on nitrogensports or cloudbet for sports betting and coinroyale or fortunejack for the card games. Sometimes, I like to try other sites to test see what else is out there. Don't get me wrong, nitrogensports and cloudbet are great sites, but its good to try out other casinos to see what else is out there. Over a week ago, I thought I'd give sportsbet.io a try to expand my options, so I sent about 1.2 btc over from a couple of accounts and placed a couple of bets. It was fine, but it wasn't as user friendly as either nitrogen or cloudbet, the user interface isn't as nice, and I wasn't used to betting in mBTC. I decided to keep around .35 btc in my sportsbet.io wallet and withdraw .85 btc to my nitrogensports account to play there. Like I said, I just wanted to expand my options a little I still planned on keeping the .35 btc because they have some nice things about it and they may improve in the future. Nitrogen and cloudbet are still my primary casinos, but I thought I'd leave the door open for this one like I did for others.

After submitting a withdrawl of .85, I recieved a message saying "Wagering requirement of at least 5 (five) times the deposit amount before making a withdrawal." I though this had to be some sort of mistake because I have never experience anything like this on any bitcoin gambling site I used in the past and I've used many different sites over the past 9 month. It made no sense to me that I had to spend more than my initial deposit in order to withdraw, let alone 5x the amount. I contacted sportbet.io support through the chat and the agent told me that I that they'd look into it and eventually accused me of using the site as a mixer, which was the reason for the withdrawl being declined. She told me that I would be recieving an email from their security department with instructions on how I could get my money back. I did not recieved the email after the first day, so I logged back on to see what is going on. I chatted with another person who said that the email was sent and they would send another. Again, I would recieve no email. I even sent them an email, but they claimed they did not recieve it but they said give it time. A week later, I go to check my account and there still is no email. I returned to the site to see what is going on after not recieving any message from them and the person I chatted with insisted it was sent even though I did not get a message. They kept telling me to respond to this phantom email and told me they couldn't discuss the matter over the chat because it is insecure. Eventually, they pasted the contents of this supposed email to the chat and told me to follow the instructions on it. Basically, they wanted all of my personal information and would not let me withdraw my money until they got all of it.

Sportsbet.io wanted me to give them my IP address, a picture of my drivers lisense (front and back), and a bill with my name and address on it. Now, I've had my personal information stolen before and it was fucking hell to deal with. I will be damned if I give up all of that information to some online casino I know nothing about and has no way of being accounted for. I will not give that information up so my identity can be stolen again and sold online to god knows who. The funny thing is that I asked the support person for their personal information and the physical location of their company and security department, but they would not even tell me that. It is NOT Curacao as stated on their site. And they would not even tell me what country because of "security issues". They are probably in EU, middle east or southeast asia. They kept pressing me for my personal information and I refuse because I don't know what they intend to do with it because I don't know who they are and there is no way for me to trust them because there is no accountability. How can I trust a company with my personal information if they will not even tell me what country they are located in? They refuse to tell me and they refuse to elaborate on why it would be such a security risk. I would lose more time and money if my identity were stolen than the 1.2 btc they've essentially stolen from me. I make plenty of money so I can absorb that loss. This message is for those who can't and a warning to big gamblers out there. STAY AWAY FROM SPORTSBET.IO. Fuck them if they think I'm stupid enough to give them all that personal information. Bitcoin is supposed to be anonymous and so is gambling with bitcoin. Stick to an online casino that respects that and STAY AWAY FROM SPORTSBET.IO.

False review

Wed Oct 18, 2017 5:42 pm

There's so much FUD in "glowz4dayzze" post that I'm not certain where to begin... he is a blatant liar and his review is nothing more than a fake scare tactic.

1st of all, he name drops the competition in his very first sentence, which usually means that he works for the competition or has some form of invested interest in the competition. He goes on to name drop the competition some more.

2nd, he claims that the competition are "great sites, but its good to try out other casinos to see what else is out there, try to expand my options."
This makes next to zero sense, since he has already found sites yet needs to find more. Not buying that for a minute!

3rd, he claims that the user interface isn't friendly on Sportsbet.io which, again, is 100% inaccurate.
The site uses a very friendly UI and navigation is one of the easiest of all the Bitcoin sites.

4th, he claims "Wagering requirement of at least 5 (five) times the deposit amount before making a withdrawal."
This is not only a flat out lie but so ridiculous sounding that it doesn't even warrant an explanation.
This has never been the rules @ Sportsbet.io and never will be.

5th, he claims he contacted Live Support (a feature that not every Bitcoin sportsbook has, but should) and that they didn't send his emails, lost his emails, lied to him....all of which is so fabricated it's almost sickening to read. Sportsbet.io has top notch customer support and their Live Support has always been very helpful in resolving any issues.

6th, he gets frustrated (even though nothing he has said is true) that Sportsbet.io asked him for his personal information for a withdrawal.
As far as KYC requirements (which Sportsbet.io clearly explains), Sportsbet.io is licensed and registered and must abide by certain laws pertaining to specific jurisdictions. Do you think that Sportsbet.io wants to ask players for their personal information?

The answer is that THEY DON'T WANT TO! They are literally required to in order to comply with local laws and to be able to stay in business.

It's a hassle for everyone including the operators..

This sportsbook pays out regularly, quickly and with no problem at all.

So, there you have it.

Whatever personal vendetta "glowz4dayzze" has against Sportsbet.io has very easily been proven to be nothing more than a fabricated attempt to drive potential players elsewhere. It's very common in this industry, unfortunately, but without and concrete proof, this post is nothing more than FUD and should be ignored.

I don't want to judge this situation, but I experienced problems with sportsbet.io also. I was betting with them for around a year, after another withdrawal request I was asked to send KYC documentation. I provide it to them several times, but when I contact chat everytime they answer they haven't received my email. Any advice what should I do?

So you were able to successfully withdraw, and then they suddenly asked you for KYC?
And now they won't process your withdraw and are giving you the run around? I'm lost as to why they suddenly decided to withhold your winnings...

Email their support directly if this hasn't been resolved by now...
