Really possible to send money anonymously through Bitcoin?

Sat Jul 14, 2018 3:42 pm

Hello,

I need to send some amount to one person anonymously. That means, the opposite person should not know my identity and source details. For this, I tried to register with Bitcoin provider. But, they are asking my bank account details to fulfill their KYC (Know your customer) norms. I understand and agree that I should give my bank account details to the provider. Once I send the amount through Bitcoin to the other person (Receiver), is there any possibility to track my details through Bitcoin? Is really Bitcoin is the trustworthy to send the money anonymously?

Thanks in advance.

Bitcoin is not an anonymous currency, that is a misconception. It is more of a pseudonymous currency.
There are a few altcoin around that are privacy centric, such as Zcash, Monero and DASH, etc

If it's just the purchasing you are worried about, find a bitcoin ATM in your local area or purchase for cash off someone on localbitcoins
Even if you did purchase through a company, providing all of your ID, you can still use a bitcoin mixing service to disguise the original acquisition. Please make sure you research any mixing service on the web before using, some are scams and some just don't mix coins correctly. But there are also a few good ones that have been running for years.

I would not advise on any illegal activities, but everyone should have a right to keep their financial matter to themselves.

Bitcoin also described as anonymous currency because it is possible to send and receive bitcoins without giving any personally information. It is also pseudonymous. Sending and receiving bitcoins is like writing under a pseudonym.
