Isn't Venezuela in debt?

Wouldn't Venezuela benefit as a whole from Bitcoin?

Smart economics at work, maybe it's time to embrace and profit from new money.

No, everyone in Venezuela, except Government, would benefit.

But they have obviously lost control. They are even trying to sue DolarToday, a website publishing the actual exchange rate (free market, black market exchange rate) instead of the government manipulated official rate. They are even trying to claim that a website is able to undermine their currency. Wow, these bureaucrats are just insane ;)

Sueing DolarToday will only cost the people of Venezuela additional money.

Instead, tax Bitcoin in Venezuela.

$10M a month is better than none ;)

They are showing their true colors. They are proving that there is no difference at all between a Mob extortion racket, and the Venezuelan Government.

Initiating violence, locking people up in a cage, for doing SHA256d calculations. The initiators of the violence are these "government" thugs. The two men arrested are completely innocent as they have committed no acts of aggression against anyone and have not initiated violence against anyone. The real criminals here are the "government" employees.

You're proposing a strategy that would actually work and benefit everyone. Very not-government-like ;)
