Blockchain Voting: How do I get started? Help me OB 1

Sun Feb 28, 2016 9:13 pm

Hey guys, our Bitcoin Group wants to get in front of our local governance to introduce Blockchain Voting. I want to begin educating myself about the existing applications that are out there.

Looking for research suggestions. I am already familiar with http://democracyos.org/ but wanted to know what other options existed.

Any help appreciated thank you!!

Great move!

Fintech definitely requires qualified people to speak on behalf of the industry. This must also be done under the proper roof, such as how town or city-hall meetings are conducted.

If you are running a version of Bitcoin Core, stop using it. Upgrade to Bitcoin Unlimited or Classic immediately.

Fix Your Unconfirmed Transaction.

Vote for the future of our Bitcoin network!

An update for the community. Our Media Research Analyst came up with some more links I thought I would share.

http://blockchainapparatus.com/voting/ - “Currently a work in Progress, no live demo” Uses Bitcoin Blockchain Releasing an open source voting machine before 2016 elections.

https://followmyvote.com – Most Developed Platform I’ve seen, also the only one I was able to see a live demo. Unfortunately, uses Bitshares which is not a side chain, but an entirely different Blockchain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vHPxtEU70U

http://www.bitcongress.org/ - Uses a Mixture of Bitcoin Blockchain and Couterparty

(Interesting Info): http://bitcoin-class.org/presentations/ ... Voting.pdf

http://www.v-initiative.org/ - “Currently a work in Progress, no live demo” Uses Bitcoin Blockchain

http://blog.democracyos.org/post/114076 ... -add#notes currently, they appear to be a centralized platform and I have not seen any eta on when they are planning to implement Blockchain.

A lot of the other platforms like Swarm.io(which is now insolvent) and NXT use a totally different Crypto currency or they are closed sourced like http://www.newsbtc.com/2016/02/12/nasda ... xy-voting/
