We can -maybe, hopefully- still narrowly avoid hitting the block size limit

Look at this graph. The sense of urgency cannot be much clearer, nor how close we are to hitting the block size ceiling. However, I believe it can still be avoided, albeit narrowly, if the miners act sooner rather than later (ie. NOW, TODAY).

This assumes that miners will ALL create 999.999 byte blocks (which they currently do not). However, this is a setting and causes no incompatibilities at all.
