Some of you may remember the original Bitcoin billboard courtesy of Memorydealers.com from June 2011 that helped set off a wave of media attention:



It was then replaced by one for Bitcoinstore.com (Does anyone have an actual image of this billboard?)


Later came the Honey Badger of Money Billboard:




Most recently, Bitcoin is open:


Next we are thinking of using this design that mimics actual street signs in California:

I would love to have the community's feedback on this design.
What should be improved, changed, edited, or removed?
Any other ideas?
We will likely make it a reality some time in October.

I love the $USD Exit idea makes a lot of sense. Maybe use $BTC Entry somehow instead of an arrow? Kind of keep the Entry/Exit theme uniform? Bridges & Railways, Entry/Exit. Just my thoughts but it's awesome in general Roger.

Very cool. One thing you may have trouble with, California DOT might take issue with the road sign design, especially if they take issue with the content. I would hate for them to justify removing the sign because it may 'confuse' drivers. Just something to keep in mind.

Chapeau, Roger knows how to use media.

Well, the "Dollar is Exit Only" billboard has been online for the last 2 years or so.
It is starting to look a bit sun damaged and faded, so I think it is time for the next one.





Who has a good design idea?

One idea that comes to my mind is:

FREE CASH!
(Bitcoin Cash)
Bitcoin.com

It also might be fun to point out that Bitcoin.org is rotten to the Core, and engages in censorship in "support" of censorship free money. All in all, I suppose we should just focus on how awesome Bitcoin Cash is.


I'll pay $1,000 in Bitcoin Cash to whoever comes up with the design we actually use.

Got the perfect idea. Top/bottom split approach. Bottom has stack of cars with bitcoin on them in a big traffic jam. Above is a jetsons flying car with bitcoin cash on it. The future of bitcoin is here. Fast cheap transactions anywhere anytime.

There's probably too much going on on this one to be a good "drive-by" eye-catcher, but I gave it a shot.

Correct, but for a website or presentation, they are perfect!

From everything we are taught, the idea is like a resume, contain the minimum to catch the eye with relevant detail and direct them to another source for more information. Good job on it though as I said.

Here is one more that was emailed to me:

Here's a small update to make the 'Directly' text more readable.

In it's essence, this sign is the bare minimum. Bitcoin allows you to "Send & Receive Money Directly". Everything else follows from that. Directly means no banks or middlemen. Directly means no-one to pay fees to. Directly is regular English for the geek-term Peer to Peer.

There is a visual of a phone, as that will be what most people will use.

It uses the Gold color - US Dollar Green means Currency, Gold means Money.
Green is also an less-obvious color in nature (everything is green: grass, trees, etc). Gold stands out more.

There are just 7 words to read. When driving past, that is just about the max. If the target audience is foot traffic, you have more options to add text.

This sign appeals to emotion.

There are two sides to this. The snake could represent the person passing in the car - who doesn't want to be treaded upon. For him, Bitcoin Cash is a great solution and bitcoin.com the source for more information.

There is also a second side to this. The snake could represent bitcoin. It is being treaded upon, and we all know what happens when you step on a snake. Bitcoin Cash is the embodiment of the response to Core.

I'll tell you though Bitcoin Cash will have a hard time with marketing; here's the conversation with the average crypto-curious lay-person with nil- to next to no- knowledge of cryptocurrencies.

U1: Ok so let's use Bitcoin Cash!
U2: Is that like Bitcoin?

U1: Yes it is like Bitcoin but faster than Bitcoin, and cheaper than Bitcoin, it's called Bitcoin Cash! You can buy one for $US 350, much less than 1/10 the price of a single Bitcoin.
U2: Ok but why don't we just use Bitcoin?

U1: Because Bitcoin has high fees, we need to use Bitcoin Cash!
U2: OK, but can't I just wait to (and etc. etc.)

I wouldn't know what to say! Except maybe hopefully one day Bitcoin Cash will just become the original Bitcoin.
