SegWit versus larger blocks (Bitcoin Unlimited & Classic)

Tue Oct 11, 2016 5:15 pm

The battle between SegWit and bigger-blocks (Bitcoin Unlimited & Classic) can be viewed here by looking at the 1000 block view:

http://NodeCounter.com/#block_explorer

The activation threshold for SegWit is 95%, but already about 15% of the miners are not running software containing SegWit, effectively blocking it. :D

Will Core change the activation threshold or will SegWit simply never be implemented? What's going to happen? BTC

This is great news for the market, the price of Bitcoin reacting positively to the news.

Core will fall apart over time, they will take their software and sell it to banks. Good luck to them, if you want to steal bankers money and they are stupid enough to give it to you, all the power to you. However, don't come to our network and steal our money. This was nothing more than a theft on their behalf.
