Iran Will Launch Its Own Cryptocurrency

Tue Jan 29, 2019 11:56 am

Iran is expected to announce the roll out of its own cryptocurrency today, which is designed to bypass the sanctions that the US has imposed on the regime, and mainly the country's ban from the global SWIFT system.

While it is exciting news, I'm skeptical if the Iranian governement would actually allow a true cryptocurrency to exist, since such a digital coin could damage its absolute authority. Do you think that such a cryptocurrency is good or bad?
