With the tremendous obstacles the repositories have been up against (storing and using the prodigious sums of cash they accumulate) I have always been surprised about their resistance (for most) to adopt Bitcoin. However, I suppose if all the repositories switched to Bitcoin, the network might be in trouble... we would likely see a fast growing, meteoric balance of un-confirmed transactions which would only generate negative publicity.
