On October 15, the large cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex made a new statement regarding the suspension of fiat deposits on the exchange last Thursday (October 11). Bitfinex announced that over the next 24 hours it plans to launch a new deposit system that will allow accepting fiat deposits.
The statement takes place against the background of a record growth of Bitcoin on Bitfinex. Its price increased by 11.28% and approached $7800. This was due to a 6% drop of the USD-backed Tether rate, which caused a certain panic among traders on the exchange.
