This article from Fortune magazine covers a broad summary of bitcoin's current popularity and how future growth could unfold. There are a few points I want to bring to attention:
1. Recommendation that the US government treat Bitcoin as a foreign currency (rather than an asset) for taxation purposes, which would make the use of Bitcoin and tax compliance much easier
2. Article states "Bitcoin and its fellow digital currencies will hit mainstream adoption based on the soundness of their technology."
It's articles like these in mainstream magazines that expose an audience who largely isn't involved in Bitcoin to its practical benefits. An article like this does much more good than the "ransom for bitcoin" articles do bad. I hope we see more of it!
