The Story of ProgPoW and Ethereum Walking Away From Nvidia

In this article, we will take a look at the links of Nvidia chip manufacturer with ProgPoW, recent happenings in Ethereum and possible outcomes for AMD miners. How Corporations plan the centralization of Ethereum mining?

The new improvement called ProgPow was actively debated since 2018. Since this is likely the Ethereum 'new' mining algorithm, we have some facts to make you aware. It was heavily favored by Kristy-Leigh Minehan, the former CTO of Core Scientific and former CEO of Mineority AG. Also, Vitalik Buterin claims it doesn't matter which algo to use while the network is in transition to Proof of Stake. This fact only adds uncertainty.

At the beginning of 2019, a company called Core Scientific inked agreements with Nvidia. According to several investigators, the company offers high-performance chips to Nvidia in exchange for certain help. Here's the announcement where Core Scientific is launching the 'DGX-ready datacenter' for Nvidia. Also, another announcement tells that Core Scientific pledge vital resources to something called the Nvidia Inception Program.
