The war against encryption has escalated in the tech world this year, with governments looking to decipher more details of people’s private lives and wealth. At a recent address, FBI Director James Comey detailed that a serious “adult” conversation concerning encryption will happen in the coming year.

Could are war on encryption even be won or policed, i don't think it ever could and it reminds me of the drug wsr.

Strong encryption with no back doors is needed in today's world and even more so on the legal business side than it's use by criminal organizations.

Who knows if they have broken PGP yet but it is unlikely, what is definite is that they will alwaya collect meta data to decrypt at a later date when and if possible.

I would love to know what the recently stolen hacking tools from the NSA would reveal about their methods and technological advancements.

thats 100% true. Theres no such thing as absolute privacy. The only thing we can do is making it harder for them to track us.
