Hello loyal members,

What many of you have been waiting for has finally started!
In the early days of this forum when we probably had less than 100 members Roger Ver announced in this thread that he would give away a prize of 4btc to the best post or thread created on this forum and we think it is about time to get this competition off the ground.

Since the initial prize of 4btc was announced we have had 2 other prizes added to the prize pool so the prizes will be distributed as follows:
1st Prize: 4 Bitcoins Directly sent to the bitcoin address of your choice!
2nd Prize: A Trezor hardware wallet that has been generous been donated by Satoshi Labs.
3rd Prize: The winner can choose between a Bit-X White edition, worth $99.95 or If they'd rather not have to supply ID they can choose to claim a free Anonymous card, worth $34.95. The way the competition will work is when we have a list of links to the 50 best threads or posts on this forum we will start a public vote were our members will be able to vote on the posts or threads they think deserve to win this competition, once our members have voted the list down to the final 10 then bitcoin.com staff members will vote for the winners (the moderators vote will be public)
Moderators and admins will be on the lookout for false votes and alt accounts during the competition

The rules for this competition are quite simple, we just need users to submit a link to the thread or posts that they think has helped the community the most or maybe bought awareness to a situation that would have otherwise gone unnoticed, AMA's are welcome to be added to this list.

Members can post up to 5 of their favorite forum threads below and are more than welcome to submit their own threads for the vote.
Unfortunately moderators and staff of bitcoin.com will not be eligible to win for obvious reasons.

Since we are just starting the holiday season and some members that want to vote may be absent on holidays I am expecting to start the voting sometime around late Jan or early Feb 2017 so keep an eye on this thread.

If any members have any questions about the rules to this competition please post below and I will answer them when I see them.

Edit 2: The final cut off date for new nominations will be the 1st of March 2017, polling will start after all posts are counted.

Probably. If they don't, then I doubt none of the ones from now will be able to. Most of the posts around the forum are definitively top notch.

Very nice. 4 BTC is a hefty reward just for making a post that is appreciated by everyone. It's Steemit but no ever crashing alternative currency and even more rewards than Steemit top posts!

Bitcoins are amazing. I have experienced it, not just because they have a great monetary value but for many other reasons as well. and if you're reading this, you might already understood the point. Bitcoins doesn't necessarily represent a value in terms of legal tender, a bitcoin can represent anything from a sack of potatoes to a thousand dollars or anything else. it is a measurement that can be used to represent something in value.

The only sad thing i think there exists is the scams that have appeared in recent past and people have no way to avoid them, they look so legit and doable that people fall into them pits and loose something that is of immense value and important and they are bitcoins. they have changed the way we think about transactions. if only scams were to go away. which will never be the case thanks to the minds, the world where people transact, play, deal in bitcoins will be amazing again. I love bitcoins and everything about them.

it is so sad that although i am a responsible person, and i take care of anything that involves bitcoin transactions because it doesn't have a central authority, there is no body to regulate and put a check on it. i have lost thousand of dollars in today's value to scams and rigged poker site and other places. I want all of you to be careful because you are not just dealing with something that can be used to gamble and play but most importantly something that you never know what it represents.

Why wouldn't your thread be eligible? Of course its eligible as long as you feel its good submit it and if it get past the voting process you have a chance to win.

Clearly my threads are of a certain quality. They are genuine. They are of interest. They get views.

I think i have only started 2 threads.
"farmed accounts coming to this forum" has decent viewing figures, even though i didn't post there much as Roger and admin clearly wanted to attract those very same zombie alt accounts here, enrolling OGNasty and paying him ~30% of the btc pot to attract a few dozen of his pals and various alt accounts. Probably a few real people there. (i've not checked the situation for a month or so)

If you scroll back 4 pages on the bitcoin discussion list (over 150 threads back), you will see my thread has been viewed more than all but 3 other threads since, and 2 of those are long running Roger Ver threads. (maybe start voting for roger ver as well as gavin?)

Other posts of mine, in other's threads explained simply and accurately enough so as to stop these "daft" threads perpetuating.

If i rightly won, i am prepared to redistribute a percentage of btc to future -genuine- posters. (under my terms, the extent of which would rely on roger's support, but at least 2 btc )
