Can't decide on where to keep my crypto

I've been wondering if it's better to store cryptocurrencies on a wallet in my computer (that is connected to the web, so it is more vulnerable to hacker attacks), or is it better if I store it on some platform that's keeping their crypto on cold wallets. Any opinions?

Anytime you store bitcoins online is a risk but you can reduce some of these risks by not storing coins on an exchange or a online wallet that does not allow you access to your private keys.
It is always best to store your bitcoins in a wallet that gives you full control over your private keys, that way if the wallet host goes offline you will still be able to access you bitcoins by restoring your wallet to another client.

I would suggest using the Bitcoin.com wallet to store enough funds for everyday use, and also buying a hardware wallet to keep the bulk of your bitcoins completely offline.

Look into trezor or the nano-s for hardware wallet options! Both are compatible with bitcoin.com wallet

Thanks, guys!
I've been thinking about buying a hardware wallet, but the ones I saw were pretty expensive and I'm kinda short on money right now. Would a cheaper one do the job, or is there more risk of hacking with them?

Save your cryptocurrencies in the safest vault - MYCoin International. The most secure place to store your cryptocurrencies and use them. The most unique feature of MYCoin International is that it makes sure most vendors are on board by paying vendors in fiat currency. It's the most trusted platform to store your cryptocurrencies.

You could download the bitcoin wallet and keep your funds there until you have enough money to shell out for a trezor or nano-s. Just FYI It's never recommended to get a used hardware wallet, even if it's cheaper.

Definitely. Trezor, ledger or digital bitbox are the best wallets to get

otherwise-

Store it in a segwit wallet for better security and much less expensive tx fees

armory, trezor, ledger, green address , green bits , Samourai wallet , core (manually) , or soon electrum 3.0

If you use an insecure OS like windows or OSX , store it in green address , green bits , Samourai wallet , or electrum on a cell phone

If you have a lot of bitcoins you will want to use either paper wallets or hardware wallets

I also vote for Trezor. It is safe and trustworthy. But it seems that the hardware wallet can be safer.

People tend to keep most of their digital coins in cold wallets because hackers cannot steal digital assets that are not connected to the internet. While the security of hot wallets are vulnerable to theft because they are constantly connected to the internet. A hardware wallet is the safest way to manage and trade your cryptocurrencies. For me, I’m sticking with Trezor for now since I’m quite satisfied with it. It is user-friendly, super secure and always offline. It’s noted by many to be the most trusted way to store bitcoins.

If you cannot afford hardware wallet at the moment, try using a safe mobile or web alternative, just hold a smaller amount of funds there. I assume, you won't need to store big amounts anyway at this point. Once you save up, purchase Trezor or Ledger. I use Lumi Wallet for mobile/web storage, never had an issue.

Stay safe!

Do not use any of these wallets:
1) Online web wallets, like blockchain.info, Coinbase, etc. In generally, all wallets which keep the private key on their servers.
2) Any hot wallets. Any app on computer or phone which is used with Internet connection. It can be used with small amounts to make payments, but not for storing your whole money.
Use Cold Storate
Cold storage in the context of Bitcoin refers to keeping a reserve of Bitcoins offline.
Methods of cold storage include keeping bitcoins:
On a USB drive or other storage media
On a Paper wallet
On a bearer item such as a physical bitcoin.
Use a offline Bitcoin Hardware wallet
