Various Wallets

Hi, I know that a wallet does not contain actual "coins" but just contains the private keys necessary to access coins but can a wallet contain keys that refer to different types of coin?
For example, I have a bitcoin.com wallet that "contains" my bitcoins. I just sent some bitcoins to YObit.net to allow me to buy some NLC2 coins. I have an empty NLC2 (Nolimit coin 2.0) wallet because I got one when I signed up at NoLimit. Can I send those from YObit.net to my bitcoin.com wallet or do I have to send them to my nolimit wallet? Or indeed, would somebody just leave them at YObit.net in case they need to be sold quickly? I'm a bit conscious that I seem to have done lots of transfers as a newbie and so have paid quite a few transfer fees if that's the right expression!

Also, how do people refer to coins or transactions? For example, above I wrote "I sent some bitcoins..." which makes it sound like I'm wealthy and own a number of bitcoins when in reality I don't even own one! Although I'd quite like to if they ever reach a million dollars :)
