Using app to transfer BTC > BCH

I've done 3 transactions this morning, paid over $50 in fees, but the app is only tansferring my BTC right back into my same BTC wallet. So I'm being charged to move my money where it already is? How is this possible? My one transaction worked fine yesterday, now it just keeps taking my money in their fee and leaving it in BTC

Hi,
I'm using the bitcoin.com wallet app. I would like to move the balance from BTC to BCH. I'm confused with the 'Send' interface in the app. It has a "Recipient" field, and "Transfer to Wallet" section. Please advise what I should input in this view. Appreciate your help.
