I do not know how to read my exported private key file

Hi, I want to view my bitcoin cash private keys in my bitcoin.com wallet. I know to go to "settings" then the relevant wallet and then to "more options". I know to select "Export wallet" then to create a password and then export the file. I know the file goes to my "downloads" folder and I have found it in there. I tried opening it but I didn't seem to have the required software to open a Json file type. I downloaded a Json text editor and a text reader in an attempt to read the file. I can open the file but all I have is a jumble of letters. I cannot see any letters that equate to the public addresses I sent my bitcoin cash to, nor any indication of the amounts I posted to these public addresses so I cannot identify any private keys associated with them. Are the private keys within this jumble of letters? If not, what have I done wrong and what do I need to do to actually view the private keys? If the private keys are contained within this file, how do I distinguish them and how do I know which private key has what amount in i.e. what public address each is associated with. If you are able to provide instructions to help me, please be aware that I am not at all good with computers so I need explanations to be as detailed as possible (i.e walk me through it step by step, if possible). That's the guide that got me to the point where I got stuck. It describes quite well how to export the private key but does not give any information about how I open and read a Json file.

When I exported the file I had to give a password but when I opened it to look at the file with two apps designed to open Json file types, I was not asked for the password so maybe I am not being given access to the actual private keys for this reason. But the guide provided by bitcoin.com gives no information about how to open the file so I don't know.
