I made a BC transaction a couple of days ago using Electrum wallet and it's been stuck on unconfirmed for at least 48 hours now. When I go to blockchain I get the following error: Transaction rejected by our node. Reason: Transaction was previously accepted but has been pruned from our database.

Is it possible to cancel this transaction or how do I fix this error code I've been getting?

It looks as though blockchain.info may have dropped this transaction from their mempool, the transaction is still visible on blocktrail.com

The nodes should continue to relay this tx until someone picks it up or you could try rebroadcasting the transaction with a higher fee and it may get confirmed quicker.

Edit: You could try using a service like this to rebroadcast the tx but i have not used it myself before: http://services.moloch.net/broadcast

Ive never understood this. Resending the transaction while the original transaction exists on the network gives me an error (somewhere along the lines of "transaction already exists"). How do I rebroadcast with a different fee?
