Held hostage by uphold.com

Mon May 29, 2017 4:22 pm

After transferring $2500 to uphold.com, they decided I was not a 'verified' member - after having previously said I was 'verified.'

Then, to get 'verified' and regain access to my bitcoin, they demand:

"While reviewing your account it has been determined that additional information is required to verify your account. Please provide the following information within 3 days:

A photo of yourself (selfie) holding a government issued ID other than the one that was initially uploaded.
A screenshot of the recent transactions from your online banking account, where your name, account number, and issuing bank are visible
A recent and complete bank account statement where your full name, billing address and complete account number are visible for verification purposes.
Proof of address from a verifiable source, such as a utility bill, lease agreement or employment check stub

Scanned copies of account statements will not be accepted.

Unfortunately, we have placed a temporary restriction to your account until the all of the above information has been provided and verified."

My bank doesn't ask for this and I have transferred over $200,000 without any problem. Once I clear this up, I will not do business with uphold.com and recommend everyone STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
