How can I safely migrate wallet file when upgrading vcash?

Fri Dec 02, 2016 8:45 am

I'm currently using v0.4.7 now.
When I upgraded to new version, debug.log was saying lots of ERROR. wallet file, stack... I don't remember exactly.

Will exportprivkey, importprivkey for each key would work?
What is better method?

What I did was used my old wallet 0.4.8 & sent my xvc to a 0.5.0 wallet address (running on another computer). Then I saved/backed-up my new wallet files from 0.5.0 wallet from my second computer. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I'll try it.

I'm having no luck doing what is suggested here (vcash client also crashes), and I can't find an older version (that doesn't crash) of vanillacoin to get my keys or send to a new address. My vanillacoin version is 0.1.7.0.

Any chance someone has a 0.4.8 version I can download, I can't seem to find one.

Thanks!
