Blockchain cofounder Nicolas Cary said that cryptocurrency predictions have been “wrong” because people still need to be educated on digital currencies.
Mr Cary told CNBC: “I think we are seeing a lot of people have different opinions and there’s a website dedicated to digital currency obituaries and a lot of people have got this wrong over the past seven years.
“It’s primarily because they aren’t really understanding the technology and that’s ok. There’s still a lot of education to happen here. There’s also an enormous amount of opportunity.
“Digital scarcity is a very important concept. We are going to bring scarce to the economics, to the digital realm and there are lots of new business models that are coming forward.
