The University of Nicosia has launched the first Master of Science degree in Digital Currency that is offered to students worldwide , through an online format.

It is an honor to be awarded with a full scholarship of 11760 euros—the whole fee amount for the MSc in Digital Currencies program.

“ The MSc in Digital Currency is designed to help financial services and business professionals, entrepreneurs, government officials and public administrators better understand the technical underpinnings of digital currency, how it will likely interact with existing monetary and financial systems, and what opportunities exist for innovation in digital currency systems.”

While the interest in digital currencies and distrubted ledgers has skyrocketed in the past few years, academic institutions have been slow to implement academic programs that cover the need for educating specialists in the area, addressing it in its entirety (technical and financial aspects alike).

Lately last week ,  PwC FinTech director Jeremy Drane, stated :
“ The number one issue facing the blockchain industry today is a lack of talent, a declaration backed up by statements from the firm's peers.”

Drane told Coindesk : "[We ask] who are the youngsters, the people coming out of college, that show a tremendous interest, and what is the training program that we need to put in place so you can bring them to the client? You have to grow your own."

As number of finance, banking, computing, supply chain, SaaS and IoT businesses discovering the benefits of this technology increase ...

It is hard to deny the importance of Education and Knoweldge in ones life , the positive impact on the individual and community, and the rise of a nation.
