I'm living both in Russia and in the UK and I've been mining bitcoins since 2013.

1. How did you first hear about Bitcoin?

My friend and business partner Dmitry (co-founder of Cryptopay too) has showed me what's bitcoin and I got thrilled.

2. What attracted you to it?

Having banking background I got interested in how to move money all over the world without opening bank accounts in different countries.

3. Has bitcoin changed your own view of the world in any way, and if so, how?

Kind of. I've started my own company and it changes a lot in your view of the world.

3. So far, what is the most popular service offered by Cryptopay?

People buy bitcoins from us in the UK using local bank transfers and they used to do it a lot. At the moment our Debit card is the most popular product.

4. What are Cryptopay's plans for the future?

We are adding CC as a deposit option, integrating USD accounts and would expand internationally.

I do not think that there would be any serious competition, as altcoins can't really compete with bitcoin.

I think that it should be increased. It's a shame that a single guy can spam the whole network.

Can you tell us a little about the bitcoin exchange climate in the UK - how are the banking relationships, how are the regulations, anything else you can tell us as someone that facilitates payments in this sector that the normal bitcoin user may not know?

How is it talking to Debit Card companies. I know in the U.S. it has been relatively difficult for me to find a reliable Bitcoin Debit Card. Is it very difficult for you to find a partner, and what kind of requirements do you have to meet? (if you can share details)

The climate is very hostile and dominated by bitcoin marketplaces. Centralised services cannot compete with them, as they are available 24/7 and do not require any KYC/AML check. But we know how to do it in the future.

We're very sorry to hear that, but this is our of our control. It's up to UK people to vote for right politicians and right laws and regulations.

1. To visit all the countries in the world and to surf like a pro
2. The UK government is somehow trying to study bitcoin's potential and to learn how to integrate it into current financial system. In Russia, government does not talk about bitcoin at all. Once in a while they promise to ban bitcoins, nothing more.

It is hard to get a partner, especially for the US. But with the right approach to KYC it is possible.
