As I know you can do this operation even online. But I recommend to install desktop version of some popular application to have full functionality. My recommendation is SuperSpeed Video Converter. There are plenty of video conversion tools, both online and offline. Still for high quality results, I don’t recommend using online tools as they hardly deal with long weighty files.

I’ve tested dozens of video converter and can prove that the most decent ones are Handbrake, Freemake Video Converter and Format Factory.

Handrake is the only hope for Mac users.

Freemake converts a lot of video formats and very easy to use.

Format Factory is also multifunctional but a bit outdated.
