Forum Ranks [Update]

Those numbers were only phony number because I know the real numbers that each rank will change will be kept a secret so yeah I should have been more clear on that.

30-40 ranks sounds a bit high for.me but I won't be making the finale discussions, we will leave that up to what our members want so then they can vote in the poll that I mentioned in the OP. (That's not like you to not read the OP before posting litecoinguy)

7 or 8 ranks is useful. It gives people incentive to do good posts. For requirement should be doubled. For example, rank 1 requires 30 points, rank 2 requires 60 points.

With 2x silver BTC symbols under rank

Gold bitcoin enthusiast
With 3x gold BTC symbols under rank

Platinum bitcoin veteran

This is what i have and like so far but if you dont like them then let us know.
I highly doubt that once rank names are decided they will be changed so speak up now.
We want your input so it becomes a forum that is for the members.

I love that pic and if we shrink it down i think that should defiantly be the badge for the no#1 rank.

I like satoshi theme for top rank but member haven't responded the same way, we will add it to the poll but don't get your hopes up.

Your right they do and i feel the better the rank name and how your profile changes should all be part of the forums way to reward a user for the time spent on the site often helping other users.

Would anyone be interested in designing 5 different rank badges with BTC symbols under each?
As above i would like to see LCG's addition as the symbol for the top rank.

Let me know if your interested to contribute and i will let you know the requiments needed.
I may even see if the forum can offer a small prize to the winner

I thought your junior mod permissions have been revoked due to reasons I will not discuss here.

Can you still access the moderators board?

AIght no worries, i have spoken about this with rogerver some time ago, just seems hes busy to check out why im still demoted and didnt put it back.

I would like to see more members get involved in this if they have some input.

For the layout, so far I'm happy with what we are already using for the rank "badge" if you look at the top of this post you will see moderator in green with 1 star.
I would like to continue this look with the users rank name/level inside followed by BTC symbols, higher rank= more BTC symbols, badge color would also change with higher ranks.
Anybody else happy with this?

Black or at least dark grey is already taken by banned members but we could probably change that.
I like the idea but i don't think you could ever make brown look good as a rank color

Moderators will still have a rank just like any member and receive the same amount of BTC symbols as per their rank but maybe the symbols could be a differant color or something just to make it stand out that this member is also a moderator.
A "moderator" tag will still also apply but i will try do this without the profile getting cluttered much.

Im thinking now of keeping the star and just adding it to the end of the BTC symbols for moderators.

The first lot of ranks we are going to release are just going to be in place until we get more members and more suggestions of what rank names our members want.
Once we have a good list i will create a voting poll to help with the final decision.

Can you think of any good rank names that you would like to see?
