Re: Is there a simple way to buy Bitcoin?

Try downloading the Bitcoin.com wallet: https://wallet.bitcoin.com/

You should then be able to purchase either BCH or BTC from a link within the wallet.

We also have a list of exchanges here: https://www.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-exchange-directory

Re: Stuck on a 13 YO laptop

Any advice on how to get my coin off of an old laptop? it is too old to work through 8 years of blockchain. What wallet client are you using? It's hard to tell with such little information you have provided, but you maybe able to just export the xpriv keys to a SPV wallet, that way you wont have to...

You may not be able to directly swap BCH to BTC within the Bitcoin.com wallet, but you can do so using a variety of methods. One way is with sites like ShapeShift.io. Although ShapeShift are very good and have been offering a great service o the community for years, you will now have to setup a ver...

I don't want to be using a bitcoin wallet with face matching. I want to keep a little privacy. A non-custodial wallet does not need this feature. While dealing with fiat from crypto there are practically no legal ways to stay absolutely private. And further we go, worse it becomes. If you have noth...

I don't see why any business wouldn't want to add a new payment option like bitcoin (BCH/BTC), i can't see any reason not to add it. Accepting bitcoin can bring your business new customers, and what business wouldn't want that. It is also a good way to acquire BCH/BTC at market rate. Even if you don...
