Re: Relationship between various wallets generated on wallet generator

I am in the unfortunate situation where I have generated a wallet on wallet generator last year. I used all the extra random clicks etc. once the wallet was generated, I copied the public key and saved it off. I switched to the paper wallet tab and not realizing that it was a different set of keys,...

Re: Roger Ver's Paid Shill Shenanigans - astroturfing

It's the future of bitcoin that matters, not the short term price per coin. BIP 148 UASF is not a good idea at all, i don't see it happening and if it did then it would be a very sad for the future of the bitcoin we all grew to love. Edit: When was birds first created? Re: How popular is Bitcoin.com ?

[snipped] For your suggestions: 1. I agree it's long but not sure how much effort it's worth to make the page less for only a small return in real estate. Better organization would go a long way too. Let me look into this more. 2. We talked about it in the other thread. Trust me spam is a priority ...

Re: Here is alot of chinese spam. Why is that?

Usually, a captcha will stop spammers. But sometimes, people will be really persistent and use either AI or crowd-based captcha solving tools. It's extremely hard to stop spammers, as they're bots are constantly changing and upgrading. My best idea to fool then would be to randomise the HTML and sc...

Do you have specific feedback? We may be able to do them down the road if you have something in mind! :)

Re: Here is alot of chinese spam. Why is that?

Hello, i see alot of chinese posters. Why is that? Scammers gonna scam. I used to run a forum a few years ago and it would get flooded with spam too. Most spammers just have automated bots that do most of the dirty work. There isn't much that can be done unless there are some custom scripts written...

The famous Bitcoinxio! Thanks for the recommendations. I already checked out the Australian list on this site, but just like any site it's just another list that makes my head spin.. I'll check out Coinbase. That's the place most people recommend. Coinbase and Gemini are both really good. Good luck...

Re: New to bitcoin - should I buy now?

DO NOT use Simplex. They recently defrauded my Credit Card of $322.00. Took the money and never rendered the Bit Coin. Total Frauds. This site links them as a Favorite Exchange. Oh crap! That's another reason to worry now... hmm... what do I do? If they are a fraud, then I wonder why such a popular...

Due to rising volume of the btc ecosystem, our analyst team if overloaded. Unfortunately, this affects the approval time period. We have added double our shifts and...

Re: These Two UASFs Could Activate SegWit

The problem with UASF is that it's completely exploitable and untrustworthy; once you introduce UASF as a way to change the Bitcoin protocol, you can then say let's UASF the 21m coin limit, etc. The only way to truly determine change and trust it is through PoW: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments...

Where you able to find anything out yet? I'm in the same situation I'm guessing from the high demand of Bitcoin right now many many people are trying to buy Bitcoin like you, and it's causing delays. In addition Bitcoin has a max transaction capacity problem which is contributing to the problem, cr...

This is straight up fucking ridiculous, the bit coin finally made it into my wallet after over 20 hours of waiting and to top it off I was charged a unholy fee of $40 USD. I can understand this fee if it was in my wallet on the next block but waiting 20 hours and then be in charge that fee is not r...

You make some very compelling points, especially about how we used to have transactions that were nearly as fast and safe as those envisioned with the lightning network.
