Re: [Request] Belize section

I think the best idea would be for you to create a nice looking thread on the "Project Development" board send me the link and i will make it a sticky for you to keep the thread at the top of the project development board. It maybe a good idea to create another thread on the Bitcoin Cash board adve...

Re: [Request] Belize section

I can request that a sub board is created for Belize to help with your Bitcoin Cash promotion, will let you know once up. Wonderful, thank you very much. When you have a few things running send a couple of pics and I'll donate a small amount of BCH to help with your giveaway. I'll certainly share s...

Re: Domain btc.cool - 500 Dollars

Change some data in the registrant to prove it's mine, you can see it with whois
OK, I can confirm the WHOIS registrant name has been updated to "Nic Vander". I'll take that as a confirmation. Thanks.

Re: Domain btc.cool - 500 Dollars

Hi. Can you prove that you own the domain name btc.cool? The whois information gives a completely different name for the registrant. Simply add a TXT record to the DNS, or add a web page somewhere to the domain, with a message such as "I am nicvanderx and would like to sell btc.cool" or something si...

[Request] Belize section

Hi moderators, I'd like to "evangelize" Bitcoin Cash in Belize. I'm planning to organize some fun, and small scale, marketing to alert the people here about Bitcoin Cash. I notice that many people here have heard about Bitcoin, and are interested to know more about it. I have been interested in Bitc...

Re: The newest Bitcoin billboard is coming to Silicon Valley!

Here's another design. This sign appeals to emotion. There are two sides to this. The snake could represent the person passing in the car - who doesn't want to be treaded upon. For him, Bitcoin Cash is a great solution and bitcoin.com the source for more information. There is also a second side to t...

Re: The newest Bitcoin billboard is coming to Silicon Valley!

Here's a small update to make the 'Directly' text more readable. In it's essence, this sign is the bare minimum. Bitcoin allows you to "Send & Receive Money Directly". Everything else follows from that. Directly means no banks or middlemen. Directly means no-one to pay fees to. Directly is regular E...

Simple Replay Protection for BU coins

Exchanges have demanded that BU implements replay protection. All they would have to do to achieve this is to get a tx input that is valid on one chain but not on the other. Deliberately spending the same coins to a different output address on both forks. Then the exchange could mix all their txs on...

AntPool now voting BU with approx 75% of its hash power

AntPool has just switched its usa3 nodes. Yesterday, it switched its usa1 nodes. Last week, it switched all of its Beijing nodes. In total, approx 75% of AntPools hashrate is now counting towards BU, and the remainder is voting neutral (No BU, no SegWit). Here's a table of the status so far. Table (...

Re: BTC.com Mines First Ever Block With Software Not Based on Satoshi’s Original Code

This is great and exciting news. I like it how the last remaining point of centralization (development of the client) is slowly but surely being decentralized. Bitcoin Unlimited, Classic and XT are steps in the right direction (by having different dev teams), yet still share most of the code. Thus, ...

Re: Why is Antpool not using all its hash power for Bitcoin Unlimited?

Yes, according to the news sources, AntPool will be switching over completely in the future. At the moment, they are voting for BU with just over 56% of their hash power. All their Beijing nodes are signaling BU, but none of their USA nodes as of right now. Here's a table of the analysis I do on the...

Re: AntPool BU vote analysis

Interesting stuff.

Still currently undecided between BU and segwit though. :/
I guess there's just one important question (unless you are a miner). Would you accept the choice made by a majority of miners, or would you choose to stay on a minority chain?

Re: AntPool BU vote analysis

On Reddit, I got the question to show how the nodes are switching (time wise). I've updated the table to show the first block number for each node to mine a BU block. That's an indication (a guestimate) of when they would have switched. Here's the table. Table (from block 450000 to 456504) Node #bu ...

Re: A Bitcoin.com mining pool?

Slightly related: I am considering purchasing some S9's I have a number of 1000W PSUs which are not powerful enough, but can I use two 1000W PSUs to power one AntMiner? I get it that I would need to use one PSU for one miner board - but can I use different PSUs for the different boards?

Re: A Bitcoin.com mining pool?

Will there be a pool server in Iceland? I still have a few miners there (I'll be evaluating their performance in the next month or two to see what the halving has done with the profitability). It would be great to connect them to a local pool server. I would guess it makes sense to put servers in or...

Bitcoin halving in less than TWO days!

This should be very interesting to watch unfold. The second bitcoin halving is just around the corner, in approximately two days time. The reward that miners receive for their work will be reduced by half at this point in time. The amount of new coins issued is thus reduced. The last time this happe...

Re: Need help extracting usable BTC from a wallet.dat.txt file.

Before doing any experimentation, please make a copy of the file and work with the copy. I assume it is misnamed. It should be wallet.dat and not wallet.dat.txt. wallet.dat is what bitcoin-qt uses. You may be able to read it using this software. I am not sure if they are fully backwards compatible, ...
