Unfortunately, this malware has been around for a while. It generates addresses by the millions and replaces clipboard address with one with the same or similar firstbits.

Don't download anything that can't be compiled from the source.

It's too complicated to understand fully for me.. Does everyone think this is such a good platform?

It's essentially free money for all those who hold Bitcoin. Whether it has long term value is yet to be decided, however, I cannot complain about the 1.5% return I get on my BTC.

It might not be the perfect ideal solution but something needs to be done desperately. I just hope there are no unforeseen road bumps at the time of activation.

If you get to the "accounts" section in your coinbase account, you can click on "get wallet address" and it will be displayed for you.

I remember when the site closed. Micon said the Nevada gaming commission literally broke down his door to arrest him. I am glad to see the he has been able to avoid jail as I don't see why someone should go to jail for operating a poker site.

Please everyone, use the split key method. It is not safe trusting someone with no built up reputation to generate private keys for you. Split key is however, very safe.

Yes, I agree with your post, people are saying that bitcoin price will go up and it can go 5000$ till end of this year but now bitcoin pricing day by day and I am afraid that people will loose their money quickly. https://worldcore.eu/blog/getting-debit-card-online/ I think the biggest risk of losi...

It depends on your situation. I sometimes sell a portion of my Bitcoin earnings, and hold the rest. I have plenty of regrets about selling. I probably sold 50 BTC between $300-600.

This is hugely concerning with only 3 weeks remaining until potential activation. Blocks getting stuck on the main net like this could be disastrous.

This would be the equivalent of putting a Bitcoin ATM in every city of an entire country. This has lots of positive implications for the future of crypto.

I would highly suggest litecoin. It is has quintupled in price since this time a year ago, and has successfully been able to activate segwit so it shows some potential in the near term.

Re: Bitcoin $55,000?

I read this article a few days ago. She gives very little evidence for where she got that number from. Is $55k possible? Sure. But so is $55. I think any numbers that people come up with for a future Bitcoin price beyond the scope of a few days is just like pulling numbers out of a hat.

Over the last week, Bitcoin transactions have become significantly faster and cheaper. I haven't been able to get a transaction confirmed with a 0.0002 fee in about a year.

I have been sending low fee transactions all week and most confirm within 1 block.

I think people hear stories of those who got rich by buying Bitcoin at $3 and see it as some sort of "get rich quick" scheme.

The reality is that now, it's just like any other commodity and people should manage it like their fiat money.

It is worth adding that this will create at least 2 chains. The majority chain will be called "Bitcoin" and the minority chain will be given some silly name post-facto.

It's similar to Bitcoin but with optional transaction anonymity. It has a very big campaign with a lot of PR behind it.

It's price dropped wildly shortly after launch but it seems to be rebounding a bit.

Yes. I agree. This move will be to the benefit of the entire community and explaining to people about it or even helping others set up bip148 nodes is a must.

There may be active resistance by malicious parties. The only way to counter that is active support.

5% daily profit? That sounds suspiciously high. Do they show publicly the blocks that they mine? It would be wise to use caution with any cloud mining platform, especially one that promises this high of a return.

Bitcoin was undervalued for years. I believe that it is possible to reach $4000 by years end. It kind of makes me want to puke when I think about how many coins I sold at $250-500.

It simply means that control is distributed and there is no central entity with full control. Everything is shared.
