Wow, interesting news! I heard a while back that Standard bank was tinkering with the idea of a private blockchain, but this seems to confirm it further.
It makes sense that Satoshi would not want to reveal themself. Think about what a target they would become since it's estimated that Satoshi has ~1M BTC.
I'm only really able to answer 1). I've read somewhere that SHA256 can be replaced with some other stronger algorithm with a hardfork. It's not something that cannot be changed. As for a quantum-computer secure algorithm, I'm not too sure what kind of work is being done there.
The presentation was interesting. I'm sure coinbase will need to hand over their viewkeys so it can be okay on the legal side. If this happens, XMR will be probably be held in a much higher regard.
Having Kraken now trading XMR, I'm sure there will be a lot more interest in Monero. I do think we'll see the bigger exchanges pick up monero as well, since it is a more unique crypto than say, litecoin.
Nice ticker you have there Besides other fiat currencies, could you also add BTC/XAG and BTC/XAU? I always think it's interesting to watch those pairs too.
It's great to see some of these altcoin cards, even though it is unlikely that I will use many of them. Is it possible to upgrade your card from anonymous to named so that you can increase volume capacities?
I'd be interested to know how efficient it is as well. I have a coinsbank card, and it works great. Only problem is that there are inactivity fees, and that it is expensive to withdraw at an ATM.
This is pretty unique. I've seen quite a few physical cryptos and crypto themed items, and this is definitely something cool. All the best, and I look forward to seeing future creations should you decide to make more items
I see that you're releasing another physical crypto in the form of a bar. What made you decide to create a bar as opposed to a coin? I look forward to it nonetheless!
