Re: Satoshi Nakamoto has been nominated to receive Nobel Prize in 2016

In light of recently awarded prizes where peace recipients air strike hospitals, this award would diminish Nakamoto's legacy.
Exactly.
There's a rumor that Ukrainean statists are lobbying for Peace Prize next year.

Satoshi would never accept a prize from a statist organization like that.

Re: Twitter Poll: What's more important to you in #Bitcoin?

Final results are in, 52% are for Bigger Blocks as the more important issue to bitcoiners right now. Obviously this was a very informal and off-the-cuff poll, and only had 29 votes lol  Was a neat way to test out the Twitter polling feature though. I'm for privacy, but didn't vote because I wo...

Re: Twitter Poll: What's more important to you in #Bitcoin?

I'd vote (for Better Privacy) but then I'd have to sign in to Twitter ;-)
But thanks for making a point!

Bitcoin should not sacrifice privacy for convenience. It's alarming enough that we're voting on that!

Re: Privacy.Bitcoin.com is coming soon!

Sounds good! I was wondering about this the other day. Many of us would like to put our coins to work to help those who can't easily use them get on board! JoinMarket URL, for those who want to check it out: https://github.com/chris-belcher/joinmarket The trick is how to ensure performance. If someo...

Re: Announcing the Blockchain Alliance

Welcome Gavin. :) Personally i think that this was inevitable. VC companies will always work with regulators to push their business and bring it to success. We will never reach "moon", when regulated companies have to fear that bitcoin gets "banned". If you want big money in bitcoin, you need regul...

Any experiences with joinmarket?

https://github.com/chris-belcher/joinmarket

I have some unused bitcoins and I'd like to put them to work on the free market for a minimal profit and minimal risk.
Joinmarket is one option.

Does anyone have recent experiences with it?

Re: What is your favorite exchange, and why? (Poll)

No Poloniex? Out of that list I'd say BTC-E
Same here.

1. I use Polo, because they have some coins that are listed only there. So they're "the best" :-)
2. I also use BTC-E, it's quite okay, never had any issues.

Bitcoin Node Numbers Fall After Spam Transaction 'Attack' The number of reachable nodes has declined further following an "attack" that overloaded the bitcoin network. Last week, an unknown actor sent a deluge of spam that left bitcoin's nodes – the clients that store and relay transactions – with ...

Re: What is your favourite website which you visit regularly?

I love TED.com a lot too. Great speakers, new ideas. As for myself I visit adage.com regularly TED is too statist for my liking. I stopped visiting years ago, then some 3-4 years ago when that free cities guy spoke about his plan to develop a free city in Honduras, I watched that one video and it tu...

Also, the local jurisdiction where this server is hosted have laws against doxing.
Unbelievable!

But I should have expected that - whatever behavior you can think of, it's probably more likely that it's illegal than not.

Reputation and WoT?
We could discuss reputation systems, but also share "incident reports" and news related to trust.

Thoughts? Errors? Improvements?
Implemented here:
http://deepmix.ws/faq.html
Haven't used it, though.

The other day I visited this Github project that allows people to run a mixing service and name their own fees, but I can't find it now.
Some people were running mixing nodes for free.

Re: Best email PGP Client?

On Windows 7, http://www.claws-mail.org/screenshots.p ... on=general is not bad.

I don't have a single correspondent who uses PGP, so I don't get to use it myself. It's a chicken and egg problem.
If I know the other guy uses PGP, I might sign, if not encrypt, my emails.
