Of Books, Decentralization, and Fake News

Hey guys! I just published a book titled "The Individual is Rising: Transcending the Industrial Order and Prospering in the Digital Age". The book deals with a lot of concepts that Bitcoin enthusiasts would be interested in, and the feedback has been great so far.

As part of the promotional period ...

Re: A Bitcoin.com mining pool?

Here is another fun update on our private beta testing for our pool.
With our private beta testing, we just mined our 10th block, and now have just under 1% of the global hash rate on our pool now!

Re: A Bitcoin.com mining pool?

Satoshi must be smiling upon our pool.
Without much hash rate at all, while just doing some closed testing, we just mined our 4th block.

Im just wondering about this pool because it can find block in no time

I have few question:
1. Can i possibly make money if i join your pool?
2. What miner ...

We actually just mined our second and third blocks!

Is the pool open or are you still working out the kinks? I am itching to join in on the fun!

Re: A Bitcoin.com mining pool?

Pardon the rookie question, but how is the block size determined with Bitcoin Unlimited where individual miners set their own preference?

Does this create a scenario in which the pool that successfully mines the next block determines its size thus each block may be different in size? Does it ...

Re: A Bitcoin.com mining pool?

Certainly not the right section for this, but since we are chatting about Bitcoin mining and scalability I thought you guys might enjoy the journal entry I posted on Zenconomics today: http://www.zenconomics.com/the-gamma-phenomenon

Re: A Bitcoin.com mining pool?

jwithrowa0, Very cool!
If I may be so bold as to ask:
How many watts total is your solar system?
Is it able to charge the batteries enough during the day to keep the miner running all night?
How much did the whole setup cost?
Was there a government subsidy of the price as well?

Thanks for ...

Re: A Bitcoin.com mining pool?

Very cool, glad to see people such as yourself involved in Bitcoin - true innovators and entrepreneurs!

Hopefully you will be pointing your hashpower towards a free Bitcoin :)

I will do my best - I certainly plan to contribute to Bitcoin.com's pool when it is ready to roll. Free markets, free ...

Re: A Bitcoin.com mining pool?

Its not much to look at for the moment, but here's the first S9 hashing away. The garage has basically been converted into a power hub with solar panels on the roof feeding into several inverters and a battery bank. It's scalable in that additional panels and additional batteries can be added over ...

Re: A Bitcoin.com mining pool?

I am getting my first S9 plugged into a solar-power system tomorrow. Before I get the miner powered up, would anyone be willing to fill me in a bit more on Core vs. Classic vs. Unlimited? I am familiar with the block size debate only at the surface level, and if I understand correctly Classic wants ...

Re: A Bitcoin.com mining pool?

In addition to being philosophically sound, I also intend to make the Bitcoin.com mining pool the best deal financially for every miner in the space.
I wish you good luck with the solar power mining farm, as that sounds very fun too!

Can't argue with that logic! Thanks for the well-wishes... I ...

Re: A Bitcoin.com mining pool?

I stumbled upon this thread while researching mining pools. A small businessman in my neck of the woods recently asked me how he could accept Bitcoin as payment for his services. I happily helped him set up a wallet, BitPay, and I sent him a little BTC to get him started.

It turns out his services ...
