Re: I'm Zooko Wilcox, CEO of the Zcash Company. Ask me anything!

Has there been any research into doing zcash pegged 1:1with bitcoin to avoid having to compete with bitcoin's liquidity and allow both technologies to grow together?

Re: OVERVIEW: BITCOIN HARDWARE WALLETS █████████████████ Secure your Coins!

With Copay's recent release it might be worthwhile to mention somewhere in OP that that Trezor and Ledger work with Copay multisig for extra security. The main significance is that by creating 2 of 2 wallets where one key is the hardware wallet and the other key software based, the risk of tampered ...

Re: Privacy.Bitcoin.com is coming soon!

I think it would be very useful to have a web GUI interface to JoinMarket. Something simple where you load the coins you want mixed and output addresses. The website runs joinmarket in the background. Joinmarket would also have the advantage of still being useful once confidential transactions come ...

KeepKey Hardware Wallet Review If you already own a TREZOR, there’s little upgrade for you here. However, if you are in the market for your first hardware wallet (something I strongly recommend), the KeepKey is well worth consideration. Having used both, I wanted to share my experience. http://bloc...

Re: How To Create A Multisig Address and Spend From It

And on the other end of the difficulty spectrum is Copay. It allows the easy creation of multisig with very little room to screw up. You can even use it with yourself by installing it on multiple devices you own. Just remember to write down the seed for every device or person you invite to the multi...

Re: The big thread about multisig

My favorite setup is Copay because it is very hard to screw up and very secure and can be done by yourself as the only cosigner. Pick two different devices that you own and install Copay on it. (It's better if they are different platforms such as Android and home PC) On one Copay installation create...

Remember everyone that as long as you actually write down those 12 words for each device in the multisig setup you can't accidentally lose the keys to sign the transaction when you want to spend it!

Write the seed on one of yours favorite book, 1 word every X page. Take your favorite number between 1 and X (X = number of words in your seed). Change the word of this number to something else. Remember your favorite number word (please :D). Or put your words on every 5th page or something. All th...

Every word has an associated number: https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0039/english.txt Instead of writing down the words you write down the number associated with each word. Use Copay and a few home electronics for a secure bitcoin wallet

There are many people who have multiple electronic devices: tablets, phones, iPads, computers, etc. Copay runs on Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, Chrome, OS X, and Windows phone. You can install Copay on multiple devices and then create a shared wallet that only you use. For single person usage 2 of 2...

I say, YES! Reason: It is not assimilated fully into BTC yet 8-) So if Bitcoin-XT were assimilated fully, then Bitcoin core would be an altcoin? It's like Bitcoin is a borg. Once an interesting fork or feature arises in an altcoin, Bitcoin absorbs it and the altcoin becomes Bitcoin.
