Always stay guarded as scammers are becoming stealthier with the aid of technology. Trust the old boring protocols and be watchful of those that offer more than you expect. When it's too good to be true, more often it surely isn't true.
It depends on your interest. Always go for something that you like to do or are passionate about. You can't go wrong with that. It's hard to venture out into something that's unknown to you as the risks are high enough on something that you know and much more on things you don't.
I see legislation from different regions will be created towards supporting the stability of bitcoin and in order to have a good grasp of it's control and guidelines. Bitcoin will continue to be volatile but will strengthen amidst shifts.

These scammers aren't gonna stop! I just hope they get what they deserve and authorities will somehow get to them. I was almost scammed before and good thing I hesitated and asked for some advice from trusted friends before digging in.
I've never heard of any government ever banning bitcoin. If anything some countries are framing policies on how to regulate it. It is worth investing but you should know the trades, the charts and guidelines.
The risk is always high in any crypto investment. I am new and trying to test the waters but from my readings I guess the golden rule would be to not put more that what you are not prepared to lose.
Hire services of a cryptocurrency expert if you wish not to dwell on a lot of readings. You can also watch videos on youtube about different topics or attend e-seminars, some are paid and some not.
I think it would be too far out at this point in time. Lots of factors to consider and until we see countries doing efforts to independently legislate policies that will regulate cryptocurrencies in their own jurisdiction, then the thought of it becoming a sole currency would be far fetched.
