Guess I missed out on some p2pool drama about 2 pages ago. But my statement isn't entirely untrue. Maybe for the 'vip chain' question, but I know many that have started private p2pool sharechains.
I'm curious, what was the reason behind the creation of a "vip" btc p2pool?
most likely just a private sharechain for a group of miners that want to risk it a little bit more for possibly higher single rewards for found blocks.
http://cyberdyne-mining.io:9320/static/ is my node. I am using L3+'s and I pointed one your way to test it out. I'm actually not showing up on your node either, but my miner gui shows ALIVE still. I let the miner stay on your node for about 10mins until I pulled them off. I was using p2pool version ...
Jtoomim, I just recently updated to your newest 1mb_segwit commit and it seems to be rather buggy for me. I get spammed with the ' found 191 payment dests. Antminer S9s may crash when this is close to 226' message and it seems that all of my miners shares end up discarded. My miners connect and hash ...
I think a hard fork to change the chain parameters is in order for all chains, LTC included. Also in order is some optimization of the default share difficulty calculation. P2pool can handle a user with 1 L3+ a bit better if it just had different constants.
Jtoomim, do you ever feel there will be a time when p2pool LTC network will be too much for 1 Antminer L3+ to keep shares in the chain? I see now that sometimes a miner that has been on the pool for a week, drop to no shares in the chain with bad luck. Just asking because most seem to only own 1 ...
Updated my node to run branch feechecking. So far so good. I did get this error hard in the beginning, but seems to have gone away. Good stuff Jtoomim.

Jtoomin, lots of miners lately seem to think something is wrong with their predicted payout on p2pool LTC. Sometimes, one antminer L3+ will have a higher PP vs two antminer. Seems any miner on your node has around 200-300K diff, while other nodes seem to be 17k-23k on average. Also seen another node ...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAYAqRP-zc8 video of me running through Jtoomims 1mb_segwit setup running pypy on fresh install of ubuntu. Setup of me doing LTC merge mining Dogecoin.
Could we just start another sharechain until code is added to punish the shares that miscalculate transaction fees? Jtoomimnet LTC p2pool? This wallet ID has caused many invalid blocks now that I think of it, and with the amount of invalid blocks that they have caused, it has scared away a decent ...
This has caused quite a bit of invalid blocks lately. Could we upgrade to reject all versions that != 1mb_segwit and call it a day? You have >50% of the pool hashrate usually and most of the active people will upgrade their nodes accordingly. Just a thought
Jtoomim, I recently noticed that one of my miners and at least one other user's wallet on p2pool LTC that went from around .01 predicted payout, to having no shares in the chain at all. My miner was on my node running your fork, and the other miner that reported this was on another node running your ...
Sawa, when running your dgb-scrypt fork, it seems whatever node has the most hash, has the most efficiency share wise and other nodes miners struggle. Example being the dgb-scrypt node that has 90% of the hash, has 2% bad shares submit, while mine and yours are around 52%. Have you noticed this ...
Glad the forum finally moved. I plan on doing an updated video soon on p2ool setup, specifically getting p2pool jtoomin 1mb_segwit running PYPY on LTC net. Jtoomim, what minimum memory requirement would you suggest for nodes running your fork with pypy? I thought I remember reading you say that PYPY ...
