Re: What to do with PP bitcoin?

Once regulation comes into play, we should start seeing the likes of PayPal and Revolut, who also permit buying but not withdrawal of bitcoin, starting to allow their users to withdraw the coins. It will likely be the risk of handling coins that might be used in illicit trades, and the repercussions...

Re: Is there a way to get alerted when bitcoin dips?

I use https://www.tradingview.com/ and the alerting function they have built into their platform. It's a freemium service which limits to a single alert on the free plan. The mobile app is very good and covers many markets in addition to crypto. Desktop-only solutions include https://cryptowat.ch th...

Re: What’s your exit strategy?

Bitcoin is the future, but it is a good investment strategy to spread the risk and a poor one to put all eggs in one basket. A balanced portfolio is a wise move: property, stocks, precious metals, all these things are good to have some holdings in.

Re: Bitcoin Price

BTC has been steadily rising since March (when all markets took a massive hit) and might hit above 20kUSD in the coming year. It still has the network effect working for it, but the simple fact that people will not pay the required transaction fees as the popularity increases will soon end the climb.

First thing that should be mentioned is that playing the markets for investment purposes is always speculative and never an exact science that can produce predictable results. You should only invest (gamble) with what you are prepared to lose. If you are seeking long term growth investment options, ...

Recommendations for BitPay alternatives servicing online gambling industry?

BitPay have an excellent crypto-to-fiat solution, but do not service the online gambling industry. I'm working on the same (using solar power to mine). Can you give a rough indication on the capital costs involved here and what your anticipated ROI would be? Seeing as mining is such a competitive market (especially with the recent decline in price) and building the "free energy" infrastructure t...

History has shown no significant price movement around the time of the halving, but we have seen rallies starting some months after the halving. Therefore we should be looking out for possible rises in prices starting around Q4 of this year and moving into H1 of next. Disclaimer: The above is not in...

Re: BCH/USD holds at the threshold, focuses on $500

Does the technical analysis thing really work? Yes and no. Human psychology is an odd beast and we are predicable in some ways. For example, when the price rises to a point that has perceived significance, there is frequently a series of trades that take place. This can be seen as prices hit "round...

Lots of people making wild claims in both directions. What happened to Professor Bitcorn and his claim of Bitcoin's imminent demise from all those years ago?
