Re: Bitcoin Cash Mega Thread

Roger, congratulations on this milestone. It's exciting to see real growth in bitcoin. Without growth we have nothing. Without growth we'd still be riding horses and writing letters to each other. Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't want to be anyone's pen pal! I look forward to seeing where ...

Re: Congratulations Bitcoin community. There will be no chain split. Bitcoin is stronger than ever.

I'm against the attack - segwit. More tx throughput is needed - bigger blocks. I agree with Craig Wright's speech posted elsewhere on "the forum" by Ver. Craig Wright's speech was awful. Any sophisticated point he was trying to make was muttled by his horrible, seemingly unprepared rhetoric. He sou...

Re: Congratulations Bitcoin community. There will be no chain split. Bitcoin is stronger than ever.

imo Bitcoin was designed by satoshi to give this sort of attack massive chance of failure.
I'm counting on him. I'm counting on hash majority never activating segwit.
Is it the perceived attack that you're against or is the proposal to expand the transaction throughput size?

Re: The Forum - can we agree to call this place of ours?

Well, the blockchain is what interests me. The unique concept using some sort of proof of work to create an anonymous ledger. Especially its flexibility. You see this now with all these new coins coming out. There are ICOs advertising all these fantastic projects, it's amazing! Same here! Although ...

Re: are the days of bitcoin donation over?

Making/getting donations and the amount ("loads of bitcoins" as you put it) are two different things. I think people do still give and get donations for their contributions to the community. On the Forum bitkilo have been giving out small gifts to members who've gone above and beyond to help other m...

What's "air rate"? And yeah, agreed with you that these things happen, but let's not confuse who's driving what. Bitcoin is driving all of this...the rise of Bitcoin was the driver behind the growth of Ether, Litecoin, and other cryptos this year...and the sell off of Bitcion was the driver behind ...

Ok, seriously. Thank you, after my several requests, for sharing an actual opinion on what you don't like about the impending Segwit scenario. Let's talk, can we talk about this? Re: Bitcoin can be divided into two parts

It looks like SegWit will activate via BIP91 before BIP148 would go into effect, and thus avoid a chain split. That's the plan. How can you say that? It's my understanding that a proposal for changes to the blockchain can be made but the nodes need to agree to adopt the changes. If 100% don't adopt...

I think there will always be a place for gold. It will always have a value, and beat inflation, but its days as the default hedge against the US dollar are coming to a close. Agreed.
