Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

If China plans to shutdown mining, is there any canary to warn users of such an event to move coin.
Will lifetime contracts migrate to your US mining rigs? What is your contingency plan for a china mining ban?

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

@Zowki
I had two Notary transactions never confirm. It was during last weeks BTC mempool explosion. The transactions left my phone but not certain where things were stuck? Would of course prefer to notarize on BCH is possible to avoid mempool constipation and fees

Prove ownership on the Bitcoin ...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

@Zowki What is the reason for changing the Hash allocation viewer? Would be nice to see where the pool is aimed and I already know how much hash power I have?

The BTC hash rate is collapsing and shapeshifts largest trade is BTC->BCC

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

What is pool.bitcoin.com position on Bitcoin ABC? Will you adopt this EDA fork? Seems like a good idea to have in place before the 2X fork. The brief periods of 50 blocks/hour is accelerating the BCC inflation rate and hurts HODLers but perhaps benefits miners. We could see a lot of BTC->BCC mining ...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Any advice on the 2X fork? Will Pool.Bitcoin.com be auto throttling Hash rate between 3 chains?

There will only be two chains after the hard fork, Bitcoin Segwit2X (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCC/BCH).

The legacy chain will not survive because 95% of the global hashrate agreed to abandon the legacy ...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Curious if the china based pool.bitcoin.com mining rigs are at risk. If there is a ban on Chinese mining, does this pool evaporate? How much US based mining do you have hedged and will profitability be effected with such a ban?

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

I am a 60 TH/s customer interested in doubling but I am holding off until there is more clarity on the profitability history. The calculators are great but seem to imply many of these contracts won't make money under certain conditions. It would go a long way in building customer confidence if Roger ...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

What happened to Pre-Order 1? Did someone just buy 35,000TH overnight? Or is this some kind of technical issue? Or did these contracts get pulled out due to some plans going ahead?

Since we are getting close to the due date, I may just wait to sell the rest once the hash rate is actually online ...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Like the auto switch idea. I bought a 2nd contract so I have one on BTC and one on BCC and BCC was the winner yesterday.
Also curious about why the contracts fluctuate in price?

A 20TH/s contract in August was ~$2600 and now is closer to $4900. Are the ASICs being purchased in BTC and thus inflate ...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Shapeshift has the most common trade going from BCH->BTC right now? https://shapeshift.io/#/coins

Is it possible that a host of people who were awarded BCH now have access and are trading to BTC? Seems counter to the hash rate conversion. Does anyone have analytics on Hash Rate conversion between ...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

To hedge the "Chain Death Spiral", many would like to buy more BCC hash rate but we currently can't buy that here at pool.bitcoin.com.
Only options are to switch from BTC to BCC contracts. Any forecasts on how long it will take to bring on more lifetime hash rate without waiting until september ...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Is there an option to allow pool.bitcoin.com to redirect my hash rate to the most profitable chain between BCC and BTC?

I have 0.14BTC awarded since I started a 20TH/s contract earlier in July. Do these get a 0.14BCC dividend as well?

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

What does a share mean exactly, in satoshi?

Value of 1 share = block reward / difficulty

Block reward = 12.5 BTC + 10% bonus = 13.75 BTC = 1,375,000,000 satoshis
Difficulty (as of 2017/07/22): 804,525,194,568

Value of 1 share = block reward / difficulty = 1,375,000,000/804,525,194,568
Value of ...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

At what BTC price do the rewards go under the fee?
I made a little graphic to help you understand:
http://i.imgur.com/1Pc0OXo.png

So the current Bitcoin price would have to go under about $720 for the mining contracts to no longer be profitable at the current network difficulty.
In reality the ...

NewBee to pool.bitcoin.com.
Im certain this question has been asked but I don't see it on the FAQs.

If one commits a bitcoin to a lifetime 20TH/s contract, it appears it will generate close to $20/day for the lifetime of the contract (until no longer profitable). This looks like a ~130 day ...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Thanks for helping the Newbie!

Is there historical data beyond 7 days on the Fee/reward ratio. If this inverts for 7 days the lifetime contracts are void. This begs the question of how frequently the fees do this? At what BTC price do the rewards go under the fee? I think this is important to ...
