Re: I'm Ben Davenport, co-founder & CTO of BitGo. Ask me anything!

Hi Ben, thanks for doing this. I've been fascinated by 3rd-party exchange multisig wallet services like yours and Gem's since I first heard of them. -I wish they'd become the absolute minimum in security that any bitcoin trader would accept, but I know that people won't always be informed enough to ...

Re: Any predictions for the future?

I've used the year 2017 as my benchmark for mainstream adoption since 2012. -And I don't see a reason to change that number now. The Commonwealth of Nations actually said that Bitcoin is likely to reach mainstream adoption in 5-10 years from this year, and according to the Gartner hype cycle we're a...

Re: Announcing the Blockchain Alliance

I'm a little worried that this issue is going to form a big rift in the bitcoin community that never happened before somehow. It's quite clear that the alliance can hurt bitcoin in the long run, no matter how good their intentions, by giving the state a foot in the door that can eventually lead them...

You guys do realize that this is "Bitcoin" dot com, right?

I have nothing against blockshares, but you won't catch me going on Apple.com and saying it's too bad no one is mentioning blackberry OS!

Re: Privacy.Bitcoin.com is coming soon!

Adding a mixer itself to the site is of course a way to invite a black helicopter full of armed 'Muricans over to your server room, KimDotCom style. There's a reason that the oldest ones today are all on the dark web. That being said, Joinmarket is an awesome project, and perhaps if the privacy.bitc...

Re: Did you know your empty BTC, LTC and/or DOGE may be worth more than you think?

Alright; so now it's becoming clear... You value Clamcoins. Your 'financial gain' is to harvest clamcoins out of these old addresses, and you split the value with the address holder, by giving them .005 BTC for each clam dug. Is that right? I'm trying to imagine what in the world anyone would value ...

Re: Did you know your empty BTC, LTC and/or DOGE may be worth more than you think?

Alright, sounds like I still don't get it then, I'm sorry if my tone was a bit harsh before. Right now I'm still no closer to understanding the benefit you or claimcoin receives from this arrangement. When I asked before: "What good does that do you for an empty address?" I wanted to know why you'd ...

Re: Did you know your empty BTC, LTC and/or DOGE may be worth more than you think?

Are you being intentionally obtuse, or do you have trouble speaking proper English? I've been patiently trying to read your thread hoping for the best, but again and again you are confirming the worst. If I am understanding you correctly, you appear to be trading clamcoins for ACTUAL bitcoins, litec...

Charlie
That tells me enough. Thanks!

It's clear you're getting stronger from this ordeal, as painful as it can be sometimes it's easy to see how it's good for you and will make you better at what you want to do when you get out.

We run them through the "Clam Client". Pretty much like sweeping a paper wallet.
What good does that do you for an empty address?

^I second that; brainwallets can be used well with lots of salt.

Warp Wallet forces you to salt yours and comes with some extra security enhancements: My review of WarpWallet

Re: OVERVIEW: BITCOIN HARDWARE WALLETS █████████████████ Secure your Coins!

KeepKey's almost done with development... And since I'm doing a review on one, I've already got one right here! It's a beauty... Apparently the firmware is exactly the same as Trezor's but it's just put on a big, beautiful screen with a few extra security enhancements. I wouldn't feel scared putting...

Re: I'm Charlie Shrem, Bitcoin Pioneer currently in Federal Prison. AMA!

Hey Charlie! Thanks a million for all you have done for Bitcoin. My only question for now is about access to currency in the klink... I've heard that they discourage use of cigarettes and other naturally-occurring currencies, but of course that's a per-prison rule, I'd think. Are you allowed to use ...

Re: The big thread about Multisig

What's the most secure but convenient way to "multisig" a trezor, a laptop and an android phone? Is it even possible? It is Case, for ease: http://choosecase.com But if you don't want to pay the $200, just get a GreenAddress.it account and turn on 2-of-3 Multisig, and in the options you can even ch...
