Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Is there anyone else that had a BCH balance in their pool account at the BCH/BSV split? I had a significant amount of BCH in there (at least significant to me heh) and I am interested in withdrawing the BSV to sell it. I left the BCH sitting there thinking the split wouldn't result in anything of va...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Hi from Bethesda, MD! Would you please send me an invitation for cloud mining in the Lifetime Plan? Check out bitkilo's response a couple posts above: Is it still possible to get an invite? I would like to participate if that's possible...Thanks :) You do not need an invite, our mining pool is open...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

So, now that BCH has risen from $350 to $1,200 per coin (and Bitcoin.com is mining them like gangbusters!) I decided to redo my calculations to see where I'm at wrt profitability on my cloud mining contracts. It's impossible now to gauge how much exactly you've profited in terms of Bitcoin (initial...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Only 4 blocks mined on BCH and 2 on BTC for the last day. Are we mining less blocks due to the Bitcoin Cash DAA and swapping between chains too much? How often does it check the difficulty? Difficulty adjusts on Bitcoin Cash every block now, so might be worth checking the profitability every BCH bl...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

For short term profits I also have done the auto-profit switching thing, but I think I earn less in the end because by the time I've withdrawn my BTC to a wallet and then to an exchange I've had to pay about $10 in fees. I know I just replied that I will mine the more profitable chain, but lately I...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

I think mining is in a lot of trouble in general. We have seen hash rate come online faster and faster, possibly due to the temporary and unsustainable increased mining profits from the BTC/BCH chain split, and now we are facing quite a different B1X/B2X chain split that will likely decrease overal...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

The same I thought synonymous. I have a Lifetime contract since September. The payouts are now 43% less than 50 days ago. At this speed the Lifetime Plan became unprofitable after 5 months. :? Revenue is up in terms of dollars. Contracts are more profitable than before in terms of dollars. Sept. 1....

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Oh well, its probably going to crash and burn anyway.
Yeah, the only people making money are those day trading on the isolated IOU markets. And just as much money is being lost I suppose. It will highlight how much support a hard fork needs to create a viable chain, so there's that at least.

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Manually switched to mining BCC right now. It's 20% less profitable but I think it would be good for long term value to avoid another EDA, which requires some miners taking a ~20% short term profit loss. Some are still on BCC in this pool, I shall join them! Need to keep it above 0.5 blocks/hour to ...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

For anyone interested, Bitfinex just listed 1x/2x futures. Scroll to the bottom of the list, they're called BT1 and BT2.

Low volume still. Should be interesting.

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

EDA just caused BCC to become more profitable to mine again. Going to turn on my auto-switch feature :D How long will it be like this? Relative profitability is fluctuating wildly. You'd better just keep an eye on it. Current state: https://cash.coin.dance/blocks Projected retargets: http://fork.lo...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Look at those fees shoot up!
https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#24h

It's already about equal mining profitability again due to BTC fees (though this pool has a semi-fixed 10% fee bonus so doesn't fluctuate as much)

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

So our maximum hash power of >120 Ph/s can have a bigger effect on the Bitcoin Cash chain, thus we will mine more blocks and make a lot more money . I agree. I want to switch but it takes 18 hours and we all need to switch for it to be worth it. Profit for an amount of hashrate is only dependent on...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

the profitability for both chains are close enough that i'm going to mine BCC since i think in the long term, it'll be more lucrative to have more. will probably swap back in 2-3 days Agreed. If I withdrew the BTC and traded it for BCC immediately, even with no fee, I would only get about 5% more B...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Looks like BCC has another six EDAs coming that will bring it down to about 9% of the other chain's difficulty. It will be more profitable again in a few blocks if I'm not mistaken. https://cash.coin.dance/blocks I am unsure of the long term consequences of the EDA... It will cause the inflation to ...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

BTC is slightly more profitable now with the 10% fee bonus, but I'm going to stick with BCC unless the difference becomes significant and looks long term. Between the delay to switch and the EDA kicking in quickly last time BCC profitability dropped, it's not quite worth switching at the moment. BCC...

Do you guys think it's better to hold my 3.2 BCH right now, or to throw it into a new mining contract? I was looking to buy a pre-order 2 oct.31st contract yesterday, then BCH spiked like crazy today. Now I'm not sure which is a more profitable move long term. EDIT: If I bought the contract right n...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

With much lower difficulty we should be seeing more PPS coin payment per share per hashrate in BCC/BCH vs BTC (without taking into consideration $ value) right? I'm talking about actual # coin earned in PPS. Yes, MANY more. After the adjustment (probably on Aug 20) we should get about 14 times more...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Switching all my hash rate to BCC! There is an 11 hour wait to switch and with the delay from mining BTC, getting the payout, and getting to the exchange it is about that time. Better to be early than late I think :) The difficulty adjustment will be in about 4 days (block 479808) at which point it ...

I have been mining away on this pool in support of BU for the past few months, since it opened to the public. I must have missed the memo though that there is no longer a 10% bonus. I did read on one of the pages though that this pool still pays at the highest rate of any other PPS pool. Is that st...

Also the profit difference is improving. Yesterday it was showing 49%. Today it's at 38%. Give it another week and there might be even less difference. Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

You're not going to make much money mining BCC unless you're doing it out of the goodness of your heart and giving your BTC initial cost away. The best thing right now, if you want to support BCC, is to mine the more profitable BTC chain, then use your earnings to buy BCC on an exchange. While you'...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

how is it going to be profitable if we dont get any of the bitcoin cash tokens the pool has mined? You have to pay your share of the electricity bill.
