I would rather bet on countries with cheap hydropower, like Paraguay, as being Bitcoin-mining hubs.

Bitcoin transactions are public for the whole world to see. It can be anonymous if you cover your tracks, both publicly and with your payment processors. In theory, Bitcoin CAN be completely anonymous, but chances are there is something tied to your real name.
