Guess I missed my invite :D

Well regardless I hope we get some quality coverage from the event. I'm really curious to see people rubbing elbows, and to hear some interesting thoughts from all. It's very rare we get everyone in one place, and in these times it might be important to come together.

Re: [ANN] BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments

Byteball is interesting to consider because coin distribution happens by confirming Bitcoin in address. Besides privacy concerns, it sounds like a basically free way to get involved in a coin, who in theory will have some value on the market. :)

I just don't understand how the gun will connect with the network. Even so, why does it need to be decentralized if it is using a local database, in the case it is not connected. I've seen fingerprint authentication for gun clips, that are not blockchain based. What do you think the benefit really is?

Re: Now that the Bitcoin Core Capacity increases FAQ came out what next?

It's very difficult to get the crowd to follow any new idea, or in Bitcoin a fork. It's not a programming problem, or math problem, it's a people problem, and that's why this has been so difficult. Programmers are used to solving issues relatively quick, especially in cases where they can easily rev...

Thank you for your answer about centralization! I agree it's a sensitive issue because of miner privacy. The block halving is predicted to happen 3rd quarter next year I believe.
