Re: HELP!! Accidentally gave bitcoin cash address instead of bitcoin address

OK, so Sportsbook sent the bitcoin TO coinbase (to your bitcoin cash address). Then it is Coinbase that is the only party in the world able to help you out. I'd make sure that they are aware that they are the receiving party, from their support response they seem to think the transaction is the othe...

Re: HELP!! Accidentally gave bitcoin cash address instead of bitcoin address

Wait, did you send TO coinbase, or FROM coinbase?

From your story, I gathered you were sending TO coinbase.

From Coinbase's response, I gather that you were sending FROM coinbase.

They are right that the receiving party must assist. If that's them, then please make sure they understand that!

Re: HELP!! Accidentally gave bitcoin cash address instead of bitcoin address

Coinbase is like a Bitcoin (Cash) "Bank". You have an account with them, and they manage your money for you. You don't manage your money yourself. This means that they, and only they, have access to the Private Key needed to recover the Bitcoin sent to your Bitcoin Cash address. No one else can be o...

Hi. You're both new accounts with 1 post and no reputation. Your desire to buy & sell may be legitimate, but please consider the option that the other person is not honest. Always use an escrow service, especially for these amounts.

Yes, in my addresses option, I can see these addresses which are my first and main address and two other addresses. One of these two addresses is btc which was sent, the other is btc which is rest. In my main balance screen, it seems that the rest is my new balance. So the address that you sent you...

Re: Should I invest in Bitcoin?

Should I invest in Bitcoin? An easy question, but not an easy answer. Before investing in anything, make sure you understand what you are investing in. In Bitcoin, in particular, it is important that you realize that the utility of Bitcoin has degraded severely over the last two years. It is no lon...

Yes I did like that. I can view chain block list; however, I can't gather these BTCs into my one BTC wallet account. Can you check (and write down) the address that you sent the transaction to. Then, in your Bitcoin.com wallet, go to Settings, select your wallet, go to More Options, go to Wallet Ad...

Thanks ;)

Re: Sent btc to my wallet while trying send function

I'm struggling to understand what you wrote. Did you send BTC from your Bitcoin.com wallet, to your own Bitcoin.com wallet? If so, can you share the transaction ID? It should show if you click on the wallet name in the Home screen, and then click on the transaction in the list, and then click on 'Vi...

Golden Rule - never invest any money into anything you don't fully understand. Don't be swayed by greed and Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO). Regret for not having acted faster in the past, is going to result in making the wrong choice in the future. Be careful, if you feel ANY emotion in a trade, the bes...

Re: Bitcoin.com wallet, can't send money out

Looks like you are using an old version of the wallet. It displays Bitcoin Cash as "BCC", and the new version displays it as "BCH". Also, a fee level of 25 satoshi per byte is overpaying by at least 25x. Try upgrading, and try again. Be sure you have the wallet recovery phrase backed up before upgra...

To anyone considering this - Always use escrow from a trusted third party. If the seller doesn't accept escrow, or you don't personally trust the third party, be smart and walk away. To the seller - can you post the address(es) where the bitcoins are stored, and sign a message (ie "I am alifmustaqim...

My guess would be that there was a temporary problem with the server, or with the Internet connection to the server. It sometimes happens that the back-end server for the wallet is unavailable (happened to me a few times). Can you try again to see if it works now?

Do you know if there is a big market is Belize for remittance payments? If there is then you need to find people that can accept BCH for local currency. What's the point of sending your hard earned cash back home if 25-50% is going to be taken up in fees on the BTC network, people may as well use W...

As long as a transaction doesn't get confirmed, it is still in your original wallet. However, your wallet won't show this because you have spent it, and it should be confirmed on the blockchain at any time. You wouldn't want to accidentally spend it again. So, make sure you retain access to your old...
